OMEGA FIRE & LIFE SAFETY SMS PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 08-20-26
Omega Fire & Life Safety (“Omega,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses SMS text messaging as a means of communicating with customers regarding the services we provide. This SMS Messaging Policy explains the terms applicable to these communications and how we handle mobile information.
Service-Related Text Messages
By opting in to receive SMS messages from Omega Fire & Life Safety, including by providing your mobile phone number for service-related communications, you consent to receive text messages relating to services provided or requested by you or your organization.
Consent to receive service-related SMS messages does not constitute consent to receive marketing, advertising, or promotional text messages from Omega. Omega will not send marketing or promotional text messages unless you separately and expressly consent to receive those communications.
Our staff and field technicians may use text messaging to communicate with you regarding matters such as scheduling, appointment coordination, technician arrival or access, service updates, on-site questions, work being performed, follow-up communications, and other service-related matters.
SMS messaging is provided for service coordination and customer communications only. SMS messages should not be used to report emergencies, alarms, fire events, security incidents, hazardous conditions, or other urgent matters. In an emergency, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service provider.
Mobile Information and Privacy
Omega respects the privacy of your mobile information. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number, SMS information, or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use service providers, including Twilio, as reasonably necessary to facilitate our communications and business operations, including providers that transmit, process, route, store, or manage SMS messages on our behalf. Such use does not authorize those providers to use your mobile information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on service needs and your interactions with Omega. The number of messages you receive may depend on the nature and duration of the services being provided and the amount of communication necessary to complete or coordinate those services.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Any charges associated with sending or receiving text messages are determined by your wireless carrier and your individual wireless service plan.
Opting Out of SMS Communications
You may stop receiving SMS messages from Omega by replying STOP to an Omega text message. For help, reply HELP or contact Omega at 410-751-2220 or software@omegafls.com. We will honor opt-out requests as soon as practicable and in accordance with applicable law. After an opt-out request is processed, you may receive a one-time confirmation message.
Opting out of text messaging does not prevent Omega from contacting you through other appropriate means when necessary in connection with services you have requested, your account, or our business relationship.
Mobile Number Responsibility
You are responsible for providing Omega with an accurate mobile phone number that you are authorized to use. If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, please notify us so that we can update our records.
Message Delivery
SMS message delivery depends on your wireless carrier, network availability, device functionality, and other factors outside Omega's control. Omega does not guarantee the delivery, timeliness, or receipt of any text message.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Availability
SMS messaging may not be available through all wireless carriers, devices, or geographic locations. Omega may modify, suspend, or discontinue the use of SMS communications at any time.
Changes to This Policy
Omega may update this SMS Messaging Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, legal requirements, or messaging requirements. Any updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
